Please read and understand this entirely before proceeding
with this update!
Before updating your copy of NDD please restart your Macintosh and hold down the shift key during startup. After you have completed the update restart your Macintosh normally.
This updater is for installed versions of Norton Disk Doctor (NDD) and is NOT to be used to update versions on startup disks or locked, original installation floppies. This updater will only work with U.S. and international English versions of Norton Utilities for Macintosh 3.5.0 or 3.5.1.
The Norton Disk Doctor (NDD) application can be found in:
Norton Utilities Folder
Norton Tools
If you have NUM 3.1, 3.2, 3.5.0, or 3.5.1, an upgrade to 3.5.2 can be purchased from Customer Service at 800-441-7234 and is strongly recommended for any computer running MacOS 7.5.x or greater.
What's Fixed in Version 3.5.2
• Non-HFS Formatted Drives/Non-Standard Drives: Norton Disk Doctor version 3.5.2 is compatible with HFS or standard formatted drives. Non-HFS or extended formatted drives, including HFS+ formatted drives are treated as remote volumes and now cannot be accessed. HFS+ or extended formatted drives are available in MacOS 8.1 and later.
What's Fixed in Version 3.5.1
• Resolves an issue with MacOS 8 where NDD would report "incorrect Finder settings".
• Fixes an issue where Speed Disk would report "b-tree records out of order" and Norton Disk Doctor would not identify the problem.
